Boundary-breaking Norwegian round dance music
With groundbreaking round dance music, Madam Jam has engaged an entire folk music community in a very short time. Are we witnessing a new wave of old-fashioned dance? The seven musicians in Madam Jam have taken a lot of notice since they released their debut album "van danse" in the summer of 2023. Catchy melodies, cheeky rhythms in guitar and banjo and strong dance appeal are some of the reasons for that. Although traditional round dance music is close to their hearts, Madam Jam is not afraid to add new musical elements to the genre. And the group's goal is always to create a good atmosphere and danseglede !
Madam Jam's debut album was honored with the Folkelarmprisen in the Dance Performance category in 2023.
