Mojna

Swedish/Norwegian folk music in tasteful arrangements

Mojna (formerly Eriksson / Myhr / Malmstrøm) is a Swedish-Norwegian trio that plays newly composed Nordic folk music on guitar, Hardanger fiddle and clarinet/bass clarinet. With elements of improvisation and voice use, so-called contrapuntal technique, the trio has created their own completely original and unique expression. In 2022 they released the album För Sola Skin'På Tak, which earned them the title of Instrumental Band of the Year in the Swedish music magazine Lira's album awards. The album was also nominated for awards at the Swedish Manifestgalan and Folk & World Music Gala in 2023.

Thomas Eriksson – composer, guitar

Helga Myhr – Hardanger fiddle

Anna Malmstrøm – clarinet, bass clarinet
