Naaljos Ljom

Folk music meets electronic dance music.

Inspired by Eivind Groven and Erik Eggen, Naaljos Ljom has created a completely new concept, where the recipe is to mix Norwegian microtonal folk music with electronics. Anders Hana and Morten Joh play a variety of instruments and many pedals. After several years in their respective bands, the two found a common musical interest in clean tuning and Norwegian folk music.

In 2019, they presented their first work together, 'Lur og dekor – i kvardag og dommedag', for a fully tuned orchestra at the Only Connect festival in Stavanger. The work was performed by the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, with Morten and Anders as soloists. The recording, conducted by Ilan Volkov, was broadcast both in the folk music hour on NRK and on BBC radio.

To Førde They have guest musician Rasmus Kjorstad on fiddle.

Anders Hana - Harding fiddle, guitar, langeleik, mouth harp, fiddle

Morten Joh - synth, snare drum

Rasmus Kjorstad - fiddle
