Meet Safaa and his secret friend, Bolbol!
Many children - and adults - got to experience Safaa Al-Saadi at his drum workshop on Children's Day Førde in November last year, and now he is back with the musical adventure Bolbol and Me . Here he takes us on a journey back to his own childhood – a childhood full of play, imagination, music and song – and a secret friend, Bolbol. Safaa plays many Arabic instruments and loves to spread good experiences full of energy and longing.
Safaa Al-Saadi is an Iraqi composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist. He lives and works in Oslo and creates music that is deeply rooted in Mesopotamian traditions. Safaa has toured both in Norway and Europe, both as a soloist and in various ensembles. He has led music workshops in a number of countries and has taught both at schools and colleges.
The performance is produced in collaboration with Samspill International Music Network .
