Proud tradition bearer from Hardanger
Fiddle player and folk singer Lajla Storli is originally from Hardanger. She is a proud bearer of the fiddle tradition that has been in the family for several generations. -The sound of the fiddle opens up and goes deep. The melodiousness of the melodies and folk songs can be a source of joy and comfort. It is something I myself experience as a performing musician, says Lajla. She is passionate about conveying music from soul to soul, and to showcase a tradition with roots far back in time, and is especially happy to play on Førdefestivalen this year, with Peace! as the overarching theme. -Music is a language the whole world understands, it is our language of peace, she says.
