Panel discussion: The World in Sunnfjord - Sunnfjord in the World
NOREC and Førdefestivalen invites you to a panel discussion:
VERDA IN SUNNFJORD | SUNNFJORD IN VERDA
Invitation to a panel discussion on Friday, November 16th at 10:30-12:00
Location: Exhibition Hall, Førdehuset
For 30 years, Førdefestivalen invited to musical diversity through the slogan The World Comes to an End Førde ! and in 2006 was Førde appointed as an International Commune by the then Peace Corps. 12 years later, the world is knocking on your door more and more loudly, no matter where you are. People are traveling more, and businesses and institutions are working more with foreign partners. The international community is working together on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals to eradicate poverty, fight inequality and stop climate change before 2030. How does this affect Førde and Sunnfjord? What does the future look like for the Sunnfjord residents who are now born?
With this as a background, we at the Norwegian Center for Exchange Cooperation (Norec – formerly the Peace Corps) and Førdefestivalen to invite you to a panel discussion in Førdehuset November 16, 10:30–12:00.
In the panel:
Mayor Olve Grotle: « Førde Municipality and international work»
Adam Dean , native language teacher/language worker: "Sunnfjord and I"
Arne Osland and Leonora Kleiven, United World College: "Verda in Fjaler"
Helge Espe , Norec: "Sustainability Goals 2030: An agenda for all."
