Borna's World Day Førde is an annual event organized by Førdefestivalen and Sunnfjord Municipality. The open family day with workshops and activities will be held on a Saturday in November, and was supposed to take place on November 14, 2020. Due to the government's strict request to all Norwegian people to stay at home as much as possible in November, the festival thought that the only right thing to do was to postpone Borna's World Day until after Christmas, more specifically until February.
With the new resurgence of Covid infections we have had in January, and increasingly strict measures from the government, the festival realizes that it will be inadvisable to hold Borna's World Day. Førde as planned. -We cannot invite you to an open family event in Førdehuset As the infection situation is now, we are canceling the 2020 version of Borna's World Day. It is really sad to have to cancel, but we are crossing our fingers and hoping that we can arrange a relatively normal family party on a Saturday in November, says the director of Førdefestivalen , Per Idar Almås.
