La Porteña Tango Trio & Eugenia Giordano
Beautiful and sensual tango - directly from Buenos Aires
La Porteña Tango Trio is considered one of Argentina's most exciting tango groups today. Led by the fabulous guitarist Alejandro Picciano, they have built a repertoire that ranges from the old Creole waltzes and the first tango gems of the 1920s, the time before the genius Astor Piazzolla left his mark on Argentine tango, and all the way to the newest, innovative and modern version of this Argentine musical treasure.
Together with vocalist Eugenia Giordano, who is a guest artist on La Porteña Tango Trio's latest album, and the dance couple Amira Luna and Damián Roezgás, finalists in the 2015 Tango World Championship, they will Førdefestivalen with a graceful world-class tango show. The musicians, singers and dancers recreate the atmosphere of the tango bars of Buenos Aires, and convey the story of how the Argentine tango has developed into one of the most valued music and dance traditions in the world. They have already toured 20 countries and 4 continents – now they are ready for Førdefestivalen !
