Volunteer at Førdefestivalen 2026

Every year, 250 volunteers join the team, and our fantastic volunteers mean EVERYTHING to us. Førdefestivalen ! The effort they put in before, during and after the festival creates a magical atmosphere in Førde that we want to share with the whole world. Thank you very much for joining us and making Førdefestivalen to the adventure it is!

Why volunteer?

Because it's fun and you get to see and experience the festival from a different perspective. You'll meet a lot of people from both Norway and abroad, share the joy of the music and the festival. Volunteering is probably the best trade-off you can make.

What can you do?

People are needed for these tasks:

  • Ticket office – ticket sellers, information staff and ticket scanners

  • Artist service – be a driver (both regular car and 9-seater), be in artist service and take care of everyone artists and volunteers who need a hand

  • Artist contact - Take care artists during the stay in Førde

  • Concert arenas – arena manager, stage production, riggers, guards, hosts, flowers/decoration team

Become a volunteer and get:

  • Employee passport
    Access to all festival concerts when you have time off and there is available capacity. You must purchase a full-price ticket to be guaranteed a seat at the concerts. Employee passes cannot be combined with seat tickets.

  • Food and drink while at work

  • Voluntary price in the hotel bars at Scandic Sunnfjord

  • T-shirt (the festival is environmentally certified and encourages reuse (of T-shirts without year))

  • Volunteer party

  • The Wednesday concert

  • Discount on other concerts organized by Førdefestivalen throughout the year

  • Certificate (if you ask us)

  • New friends and part of a fantastic community of volunteers

Free tickets

Over 6 hours = 1 free ticket

Over 10 hours = 2 free tickets

Over 16 hours = Employee pass

There will be a program presentation and a joint orientation meeting for all volunteers at Førdehuset . An invitation will be sent out by email. Several of the groups will also have their own information meeting.
