HEVD
Round dance rhythms from Western Norway
Hevd is a folk music group from Western Norway - Rogaland, Fusa and Hardanger - who play round dance music at festivals, concerts and for dances throughout the region. Hevd has its basic repertoire from the round dance tradition in Hardanger and plays songs by tradition bearers such as Nils Tjoflot, Lars Velure, Sjur Helgeland and Anders Kjeland. With a focus on tradition, good dance rhythm and good humor, they have made it big at the National Festival of Old-Fashioned Dance, and have gone all the way to the top at the Blømingsfestivalen several times, most recently in 2019.
