El Pony Pisador serves Celtic music and shanties with a flavour of Catalan dance rhythms, Mediterranean tones, yodeling, throat singing, Balkan rhythms and everything else you can imagine. The quintet brings out one instrument after another and the interplay sparkles – and their concerts usually end like one big dance party.
The irresistible mix of musical styles, humor and joy of playing has given El Pony Pisador a large and enthusiastic audience all over the world. Today they are one of the most sought-after bands from Catalonia in Spain. The Shrewsbury Folk Festival in England had them on the bill in 2024, and were so thrilled by that concert that they invited the band back in 2025! Scroll down to see the video from the last concert.
The band has played on concert stages and festivals all over Europe and the rest of the world. Around 60 concerts a year in recent years. And now, fortunately, the table is set for the first concert in Førde and Norway!
