MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Førdefestivalen is Scandinavia's largest festival for folk and world music, and we are now looking for a new Marketing and Communications Manager. We are looking for someone who is passionate about music and culture, and wants to share the festival's stories, artists and experiences for the public, press and partners. 

As Marketing and Communications Manager, you are responsible for the festival's visual profile and communication across all channels, and work to make the festival's activities visible throughout the year. 

Work tasks 

  • Help make the festival visible and interesting 

  • Create clear and engaging content that increases awareness of the festival and reaches a wide audience 

  • Produce content for website, social media, newsletters, press and other channels 

  • Plan and implement the festival's marketing and communication strategy 

  • Collaboration with sponsors and partners 

  • Responsibility for printed matter, advertising and promotion 

  • Further develop the festival's visual profile in collaboration with graphic designers 

  • Press work and contact with the media nationally and internationally 

  • Plan and follow up on delegate programs for international industry 

  • Budget monitoring in the marketing and communications area 

Qualifications

We are looking for you as:

  • have an education in communications, marketing, media or similar 

  • has a clear and lively Nynorsk language and a good eye for the visual 

  • write well and in a targeted manner for different channels and target groups 

  • has experience using SoMe and is familiar with the possibilities available there 

  • has experience in communication work, preferably from the cultural field 

Experience with sponsorship work and collaboration with businesses is an advantage, but not a requirement.

The festival has earned a solid international reputation, and is an important showcase for Norwegian and Nordic folk music. The international folk music festival is held over 5 days in July (week 27) every year. The festival is also an important year-round organizer through Borna's World Day.
