The Dancers Brew - Norway

A sparkling meeting between drinking songs and haymaking competitions

Then the Baroque soloists and Mamelukk met in a spontaneous collaboration on The Alehouse Sessions at Den Nye Opera in Denmark, they immediately found the tone. Both parties were bubbling over with mutual admiration and inspiration, and then and there they initiated a completely new collaborative project. In the meeting of two ensembles with their feet firmly planted in tradition and a common desire to play and create something new, they have brewed together a terrific performance. Here they swirl drinking songs and ballads in a mixture of musical antics and dancing virtuosity. Music and dance, musicians and dancers merge into an exuberant experience that they look forward to sharing with the audience in Førde !
