THE FOURTH FESTIVAL IS LOOKING FOR
PRODUCER (temporary position)
Do you want to help create Scandinavia's largest folk music festival? Førdefestivalen has a temporary position available as a producer (100%).
Our producer is going on leave and we therefore have a temporary position available from April 2026 - September 1, 2027.
Under the slogan 'The world is coming' Førde ' has Førdefestivalen For over 30 years, the festival has invited audiences of all ages to experience folk music from all over the world from 30 large and small venues, indoors and outdoors. The festival has earned a solid international reputation, and is an important showcase for Norwegian and Nordic folk music. The international folk music festival is held over 5 days in July (week 27) every year. The festival is also an important year-round organizer through Borna's World Day. Førde in November, concerts all year round and tour offer VestaFolk The administration (4.5 full-time employees) is located in Førdehuset in Førde .
The most important work tasks will be:
Planning and implementation of events at the festival and throughout the year
Contracts and contact with technical suppliers, artists and other actors
Follow-up of collaboration partners and projects
Budget, application and reporting work
We are looking for you as:
Have experience in event management, festival work or project management
Is structured, precise and solution-oriented
Is committed and proactive, with great work capacity
Likes and has the ability to work on multiple tasks in parallel
Have good communication skills
Have good oral and written language skills in Norwegian (Nynorsk) and English
It is an advantage if you have relevant higher education and knowledge of and interest in folk music.
The position is a temporary position with a desired start date of April 7, 2026, lasting until September 1, 2027.
The working day will be varied with occasionally heavy workload, periodically also evenings and weekends. Flexible working hours. Salary and start by agreement. Good pension scheme.
Førdefestivalen uses Nynorsk. Place of work is Førdehuset in Førde .
The position reports to the Director.
