Førdekonferansen 2017: Nordic identity - creative industries in development
- With the Sound of the North as the theme of the festival, and with Norway's chairmanship of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2017 , it was natural to choose a Nordic framework for the program at Førdekonferansen 2017, says director of Førdefestivalen , Hilde Bjørkum. - The goal of the conference is to reach social actors from cultural life, business and the political arena. The questions that are raised are important and highly relevant both for the cultural industries and for those who will shape future cultural and business policy.
The conference brings together a number of fine speakers for lectures, debates and conversations on Thursday, July 6th at Scandic Sunnfjord Hotel & Spa in Førde .
On an exciting list of speakers we find the President of the Storting Olemic Thomessen , who will give the opening speech, Kristin Danielsen , director of the Norwegian Arts Council , who will talk about the development of creative industries; professor and former director of the Language Council, Sylfest Lomheim , will talk about linguistic community in the Nordic countries, and Walid Al-Kubaisi , Norwegian-Iraqi author and writer looks at the Nordic countries and Nordic values from his point of view .
