Finn Tokvam & Irene Kinunda Afriyie
Speaker at the opening concert HEIME
Finn Tokvam and Irene Kinunda Afriye will guide us through the opening concert Heime , Thursday 8 July. The former has emigrated from Flåm, but has probably settled in Bergen for good. The humorist, journalist and media man Tokvam is a well-known radio voice, perhaps best known in a duet with the musical genius Bård Ose in the P2 program PILS - Pils Ispedd Litt Sladder; he is a central member of the pop-fun band Finn Erix together with his NRK colleague Halvor Folgerø. The two led the gala concert at Førdefestivalen in 2014. Finn Tokvam delivers well in the intelligent humor category, and we look forward to seeing him on stage again in Førdehuset .
Irene Kinunda Afriye lost her parents as a child and came to Norway from Congo alone, aged 16. By then she had been a refugee in her own country for 8 years, 2 of them in refugee camps. She came to Bergen, and over the years that followed, she has become well integrated into Norwegian society and an important voice, especially for immigrant women. In her home country of Congo, she was surrounded by strong women. And in Norway, Irene Kinunda Afriye has looked for female role models, often immigrant women. Ultimately, this became the topic of her master's thesis she submitted in 2018 at NLA University College. Irene Kinunda Afriye has been involved in Fargespill for many years, she is a clear voice in the media and has collaborated with Finn Tokvam on conferences on several occasions.
