Welcome to the green oasis at Jølstra and to live balafon rhythms with Kanazoé Orkestra from Burkina Faso! Kanazoé is the nickname of frontman Seydou Diabaté. He grew up in a village where they lived and breathed the balafon, and as early as 5 years old he was with his father on gigs. In 2010 he settled in France, and started Kanazoé Orkestra, to make his dream come true: to develop and spread his musical tradition together with musicians with different horizons than himself. The band mixes ancient balafon traditions with more modern African and urban rhythms, and explores Afrobeats, Amapiano and Afro-trap while at the same time honoring their Sambla roots. Now Kanazoé Orkestra is ready for its first concert in Norway, and then everything is ready for a wonderful summer party in our park!
