Sigbjørn Apeland, Marit Karlberg and Frank Rolland come to Ålhus church with the concert JULEGJEST

This evening we will replace the 'Christmas prunes' with old Advent songs and Christmas carols from Valdres, performed on the tree organ, langeleik and fiddle - and with Karlberg's beautiful vocals in the lead.

December is the month when we look for the good pre-Christmas atmosphere, and for many it is extra good to gather for a concert in the church. Ålhus Church is, in our opinion, one of the nicest churches to be in, and that is why we have chosen Ålhus Church as the setting when we will present this year's Christmas trio, Marit Karlberg, Frank Rolland and Sigbjørn Apeland. These three, fine musicians are coming out with a new Christmas album entitled JULEGJEST.

The repertoire on the album is old Advent songs and Christmas carols from Valdres, in traditions that go back to the 17th century. In addition, you will get to share in the pre-Christmas atmosphere in completely new songs, and perhaps feel the dance drive in the arrangements of some of the old Christmas games.
