IRISH!! Goitse / The Friel Sisters 

Friday night we invite you to an IRISH party in the Sports Hall in Førdehuset ! Two strong bands from the island in the west will give it their all on stage, while you enjoy yourself with friends and acquaintances around the longboard in the hall!

Sisters Anna, Sheila and Clare of The Friel Sisters are from the Donegal Gaeltacht, in the northwest of Ireland. They have always been involved in music, and have that very special communication that only siblings can have. The Friel Sisters are singers, fiddlers, flutes and bagpipes in everything from heartbreaking Irish ballads, to fast reels and jigs.

Goitse is one of the new names shining brightest in the Irish folk music sky at the moment. A tight ensemble bubbles with energy and joy of playing – and all topped off by a charismatic vocal. Psst! Goitse means 'come here', and should be pronounced Go-wit-cha.

Doors open at 7:15 p.m.

The concert is part of the festival pass , and takes place at our largest arena, the Sports Hall in Førdehuset . For this special concert you can buy a seat at a long table for NOK 50,-. There are no numbered seats. You find a seat when you arrive. The audience who does not buy a seat will be seated in the gallery and stands.
