Qvam/The Square
Folk music with roots and rhythm – and soul.
Bendik Qvam and Synnøve Plassen have a long history as a duo. Solid roots in traditional music from the mountain region lie at the bottom when they offer modern folk music, interspersed with catchy riffs, fennel playing and folk songs. Here, driving rhythms and beautiful sounds merge into an intimate and close soundscape, which is also characterized by the fact that both have a background in both blues and folk songs. They both sing, and in addition Qvam plays guitar, mandolin and fennel, Plassen lyre and guitar. Bendik Qvam and Synnøve Plassen are superb musicians who convey folk music and the joy of playing in a heartfelt and genuine way.
