Borna's World Days Førde for the fifth time

At the Frikar ninja workshop you will learn some real ninja tricks from Anders Aasgard in FRIKAR.

Saturday, November 15 - from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Borna's World Days Førde is approaching, and Saturday, November 15th, will be the fifth time Førdefestivalen and good partners invite children of all ages to this bustling and colorful festival in Førdehuset . Here there will be mini workshops and activities, the international food festival Fargerike Førde , and the World Stage, with music, song and dance performances from different parts of the world.

From FRIKAR ninja to Bollywood

The workshops, which are 20 minutes long and run twice an hour, are free. This is because as many people as possible should be able to participate. The workshops are adapted for children of different ages, and take place in rooms that are decorated to create the right atmosphere for the activity. -The decorations are made and assembled for us by schools and kindergartens, and we are just as excited as anyone else to see the final result, says Ingebjørg Nomeland, who is responsible for the BVD at Førdefestivalen .

This year, many exciting workshops are on the program: FRIKAR-ninja with halling dancer Anders Aasberg from FRIKAR, Bollywood with Indian dancer Navreet Kaur, Africa-mini with Raymond Sereba, Dragon Pan-Gu with Dimiter Stoianov, singing workshop with Kari Malmanger and fiddle workshop with Sigmund Eikås. In the Fairy Cave at Førde library, you will hear exciting adventures from many parts of the world.

Popular activities

In addition to the workshops, there are a number of activities around the bustling area on Førdehuset . Hair braiding is very popular. So is face painting and the drawing corner. These activities are organized by the festival sponsors, BoB (the housing association) is responsible for the face painting, and Sunnfjord Energi organizes the drawing corner. In the library you can also have your name written in a foreign language.

International food festival and world stage

In the festival hall, there will also be the opportunity to buy food from all over the world this year, when the Volunteer Center and Bergum Reception Center organize their popular international "food festival" Fargerike Førde , together with immigrants from all over Sunnfjord. From the "World Stage" in the festival, there will be small and large program features with music, song and dance.

Borna's World Days Førde is a large collaborative project. Førdefestivalen is the initiator and project manager for the event, but could not have done this without important partners such as Førde municipality, the Volunteer Center and Bergum Reception, kindergartens and schools in Førde and United World College in Flekke.
