Dreams grow on trees

In front of the Torgscena you can now find two real dream trees. In collaboration with Lions International, Førdefestivalen invited children from Førde and Kampala in Uganda to write down some of their thoughts and hopes for the future, and hang them up in happy colors during the festival week. Today, Tuesday, children from Nærleiken and Vieåsen kindergartens were in the center to decorate two sprawling green dream trees.

 

The festival welcomes both children and adults to share their dreams – big and small – and hang them up in front of the Torgscena!

Theodor dreams of a butterfly....

These beautiful butterflies were drawn by schoolchildren in Kampala, Uganda. 

There will be lots of activities for the whole family throughout the week. Here is an overview:
