PROGRAM CHANGE: Circus Raj Thursday July 7th has a new time
Due to luggage problems, Circus Raj did not receive all their equipment at the scheduled time, so the time for their concert at Festplassen today has been changed to 3:30 PM - not 3:00 PM as stated in the program!
This is how the first day went!
Yesterday we kicked off the festival week, and it felt good! With lovely summer weather at a cloudy ten degrees, we managed to put on four concerts, an art exhibition and a movie. People and animals turned out in large numbers as the audience.
Talented meeting during Storehesten
Tuesday night, this year's talent had their first rehearsal. They met at Rytne farm where there was food, small talk and archery before the serious jamming began.
Dreams grow on trees
In front of the Torgscena you can now find two real dream trees. In collaboration with Lions International, Førdefestivalen invited children from Førde and Kampala in Uganda to write down some of their thoughts and hopes for the future, and hang them up in happy colors during the festival week. Today, Tuesday, children from Nærleiken and Vieåsen kindergartens were in the center to decorate two sprawling green dream trees.
Roundtable conference on religious diversity
One of the new concert productions at the festival is the church concert Syriske bøner - Syrian Prayers, which is a collaboration between the festival and Kirkelig Kulturverksted.

Leader of the Storting's Family and Culture Committee opens the festival
The 27th. Førdefestivalen will be opened by Svein Harberg (Høgre), chairman of the Storting's Family and Culture Committee. The official opening will take place at the opening concert, På flukt, on Thursday 7 July at 7:30 p.m.
